Glasforms™ Fiberglass Reinforced Insulator Rods
Glasforms™ Fiberglass Reinforced Insulator Rods are high performance composites engineered for demanding polymeric insulation applications. Made using a tightly controlled pultrusion process, they combine electrical grade epoxy, polyester, and vinyl ester resin systems with continuous E glass fiber reinforcement to deliver consistent mechanical strength, excellent dielectric properties, and long term durability for the electric grid.
Used in primary and secondary insulators, arresters, conductor standoff and support arms, and guy strain applications, Glasforms rods can deliver reliable performance while enabling lightweight designs that support safe operation and efficient installation. Tight dimensional control and uniform fiber alignment help ensure consistent performance across production runs and compatibility with overmolded silicone rubber housings and a range of adhesive bonding systems.
Available in a broad range of diameters, lengths, and formulations, Glasforms composite rods offer a lightweight, corrosion resistant alternative to porcelain or glass—without compromising structural or electrical performance.
GridCore composite poles from Avient are engineered to enhance grid resilience as an excellent alternative to wood, steel, ductile iron, or concrete poles and structures.
Glasforms pultrusions featuring improved adhesion resin formulations provide enhanced adhesive properties that enable exceptional bonding performance for end products.
