SÃO PAULO, Brazil – April 2, 2026 – Avient Corporation, an innovator of materials solutions, today launched Hiformer™ Slip + Antistatic for BOPP Films, a new additive for biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) films in Latin America, that addresses industry challenges of balancing multiple film properties while maintaining production efficiency.

The new, super-concentrated liquid additive combines migratory slip and antistatic agents in a single formulation. This consolidation reduces production complexity while delivering consistent performance across key film properties.

Traditional approaches to BOPP film production require separate additives for slip and antistatic properties, creating inventory management challenges, potential dosing errors, and inconsistent film quality. Hiformer Slip + Antistatic for BOPP Films addresses these pain points through:

• Simplified Production: One additive replaces two separate products, reducing handling and potential formulation errors
• Precise Performance Control: Maintains coefficient of friction (CoF) between 0.20 and 0.35 with consistent static control
• Improved Optical Properties: Delivers enhanced gloss and transparency compared to conventional multi-additive systems
• Exceptional Efficiency: Requires only 0.30 to 0.50% dosage—significantly lower than traditional additive combinations
• Cleaner Operations and More Predictable Processing: The liquid formulation is dosed directly into the extrusion feed zone using a high-precision dosing unit, compared to solid masterbatch alternatives.
• Approved for Food Contact Applications: Useful for transparent, matte, pearl, and white BOPP films across various thicknesses, addressing the full spectrum of flexible packaging needs.
